Abstract
(en) Using a disease specific QoL tool, we undertook a double blind placebo controlled study in patients with PAD to determine whether increase in Pain Free WD is reflected as an improvement in the Patient's QoL. Results: 235 patients were randomized . All patients completed the Clau-S at M0,M3,M6. statistical analysis was carried out on an Intention ot treat basis. Results: 108+112 were eligible for IT analysis. Multivariate Analysis of Covariance in adjusting for baseline conditions gave statistical evidence of a significant increase of QoL on the 6 considered dimensions of Clau-S. Conclusion: ManCoVA is the most powerful statistical test to assess multivariate QoL taking into account correlated value of baseline, 2) Naftidrofuryl significantly increases QoL on PAOD patients.
