Abstract
(en) The article presents some observations on public relations starting from the recent decision of the French professional association Syntec RP to change their name from « relations publiques » to « relations publics ». The article identifies the reasons in favor of this change, and reasons for maintaining the actual French translation of the English expression « Public Relations », from the point of view of information and communication sciences.
