Tactile and visual stimulations are known interact, both on perceptual level and neurophysiological measures. Indeed, when the tactile an visual stimuli are presented at the same location in space, participants become faster to react. We investigated how this interaction is organized, using multiple sustained stimulations simultaneously. While such an interaction has previously proven to impact neurophysiological signal, it appears to not to affect the signal related to multiple sustained trains of stimulations. This potentially suggests that mechanisms reflected by neurophysiological measures to transient stimulation might not be reflected in the neurophysiological signal related to sustained stimulations. However, other experimental parameters should also be looked at in future studies.
