Abstract
One of the most important problems newcomers to PBL are facing is tutor training. In fact, the role of faculty staff has been totally transformed and many teachers have difficulty approaching their new role. A tutor training programme needs to be developed that will morph them from teachers to facilitators. This requires a lot of work because it is not only a question of giving trainees some keys to help them in their future work but to change their vision both learning the tutor’s job. In order to design an effective training programme, it is important to know the trainees’ needs when starting training. This paper presents the most common questions asked by the participants and discusses some important issues such as self assessment of tutoring efficiency and how such assessment can be the starting point for reflection.
