- Universities are facing a decrease in resources due to the growth of the student population. Concurrently, they are under political pressure to develop their collaborations with companies. These constraints raise the questions of how universities function and represent their identity. Beyond the ideological issue of the instrumentalisation of education, do their implementations allow actors to broaden their power to act? Are they capable of opening up possibilities by working towards common goals ? This article analyses, through two examples, the mechanisms and conditions of these collaborations with companies. It questions the emergence of a systemic change that would allow the opening up of the university environment to the world around it.
