Abstract
(en) [Hallucinations in a nonpsychotic child]. Hallucinations in childhood may occur as a feature of common psychiatric disorder without the unfavourable prognosis of schizophrenia or childhood psychosis. We will describe the case of a ten-year-old boy presenting visual and auditory hallucinations associated with an obsessive-compulsive disorder. Actually, children with such presentations run the risk of being misdiagnosed and treated as having early onset schizophrenia or psychosis and being subjected to the inherent risks of treatment with antipsychotic.
