Abstract
Two organotin (IV) compounds, Cy2NH2PhCO2 center dot SnMe2Cl2 (A) and 2[Cy2NH2PhCO2 center dot SnMe2(PhCO2)(2)]center dot[SnMe2Cl4(Cy2NH2)(2)] (B), have been synthesized, their ir and Mossbauer studies carried out. The suggested structures are ionic, discrete and contain [SnMe2Cl4](-), SnMe2(PhCO2)(2), [SnMe2(PhCO2)(3)](-) connected by Cy2NH2+ through NH---O and NH----Cl hydrogen bonds, the environment around the tin centre being tetrahedral in the component SnMe2(PhCO2)(2) of (A), trigonal bipyramidal in the component [SnMe2(PhCO2)(3)](-) of (B)and octahedral in [SnMe2Cl4](2-)
