Abstract
Optimal levels of quality attributes usually cannot be achieved simultaneously within a system. Information about system stakeholders' preferences and priorities over quality attributes is needed in order to manage tradeoffs between quality attributes both at development time and at runtime. Such information has to be integrated in non-functional requirements specification. We extend the UML QoS Framework metamodel to allow UML QoS models built from the metamodel to incorporate specification about preferences and priorities over quality attributes.
