Abstract
The dose response and the thermal behaviour of the isotropic CO /sub 3 dot //sup -/ (g=2.0115) and CO (g=2.0006) radicals produced at room temperature by gamma irradiation of synthetic monohydrocalcite are investigated. The experimental points are fitted with a single saturating exponential function. The decay of the radicals, studied at 98, 118, 144 and 170 degrees C, appears to involve two distinct processes with different activation energies and obeying a 1.5 order kinetics.
