Abstract
In this paper, we perform joint scheduling for cellular users and IoT devices for Inband Narrow Band-IoT networks in the cellular spectrum. The cellular network tries to maximize its communication rate, whereas the IoT network consists of multiple IoT clusters of IoT devices and focuses on a total number of computed bits. Mobile edge computing server is considered to support IoT devices in their computing purpose. We keep provision for multiple physical resource block allocations for a cellular user. However, IoT devices in a cluster may be scheduled at maximum in a physical resource block. The scheduling problem consists of integer and continuous variables, making it non-trivial. We propose a low-complex polynomial-time heuristic algorithm for solving the scheduling problem and show its efficacy.
