Abstract
Exergames refer to video games that are also a form of exercise. In the last decade, researchers have extensively investigated the benefits of exergames on health-related outcomes, indicating playing exergames is fun and enjoyable as well as produces the equivalent magnitude of effect as light-to-moderate-intensity physical activity (PA). Thus, Exergames are recommended as a good alternative to replace sedentary behaviors. However, the efficacy of a newly designed exerbike, Vescape exergames, has not been examined among college students. Therefore, the purpose of this exploratory study was to describe undergraduate students’ PA levels and situational interest when playing this new exerbike, as well as examine the association between students’ interest components and overall interest.
