Abstract
This paper is devoted to the chemical mechanisms associated with the radiosterilization of solid pharmaceuticals, Microbial tests and potency determinations proved the feasibility of the sterilization process. The literature about the radio-induced chemistry is very poor. Nevertheless, these are essential for the understanding of the process. This article deals with the actual hypotheses and the capability to predict the radio-induced degradation due to the radiosterilization process.
