Abstract
This article sketches the portrait of new wetlands developed at the Scheldt next to the Harbor of Antwerp. It traces two genealogies of the making of these wetlands, one critical, one material, showing that the latter holds the key for explaining what structural changes are reshaping industrial land today in the name of a greener future.
