This paper reviews the emergence of the internet and especially of the effect of multi-channel offers on consumer behavior in Belgium and France. Do these offers condition new behaviors in buyers, or are they a consequence of a change in consumer behavior? This study of the French-speaking context brings to the fore the importance of including the aims of consumers and the characteristics of the product. Finally, we reflect on the revolutionary aspects of this new consumer behavior.
