Abstract
Three new dibutyl- and halostannic hypophosphinato adducts have been synthesized and studied by infrared and Mössbauer techniques .The suggested structures, while considering the anionic counterpart, are discrete or infinite chain type, the hypophosphinate behaving as a monochelating, a bridging or a monodentate ligand. When the cations are involved, supramolecular architectures are obtained. The environment around the tin centre, in all cases, is octahedral.
