Abstract
This article aims to analyze contemporary ‘Great Power’ managerialism in the light of the functioning of the Security Council of the United Nations. It argues that the way the Council is operating these last year’s demonstrates its ability to act simultaneously both as a power chessboard and as a tool of global security governance; and that there is no evidence this will change in any significant way in a foreseeable future.
