In the streets of the Brussels municipality of Saint-Gilles, one van can be spotted frequently. On first thoughts, vans seem not unusual in that neighbourhood, as it is a haven for many building contractors and construction workers from various parts of the world. However, this van is not exactly like the others: it is decorated with heart-shaped Belgian and European flags, a huge golden dove and a Bible quote in Dutch and French. It serves as a starting point to describe Brazilian migration in Brussels, and in particular the manifold meanings of Brazilian Pentecostalism in the city.
