- Abstract
- In the context of the present international competition, the innovative nature of an enterprise is often a determining advantage. Innovative enterprises cannot work out off from the world. They need to be open to external world, particularly for their research and development projects. For this reason some organizations are commissioned to act as a catalyst for collaboration between small businesses and scientific circles. Their mission consists in boosting every kind of innovation (technical, commercial,...) in the enterprises by favoring collaboration with laboratories. These intermediate organizations cannot materially get in touch with every enterprise. Our research aims at developing a tool to determine the profile of the firms most able to generate an innovative process with the outside world. This helping tool consists of a set of decision rules thanks to which the most collaborative enterprises are selected. This set of rules was established with the rough set method.
