Abstract
Within developmental governance, I focus on transnational organisations as bearers of visions on African development, and actors participating (or refraining from it) to the definition of the engagement by the European Union. Do African-led Organisations and International Non-Governmental Development Organisations share the same perspective for African modernisation? Do they attribute the same importance to the EU as a developmental actor? SDG17 encourages several stakeholders, including supranational ones, to participate. Did different visions have a potential influence in the legislative process for the revision of the European Consensus on Development? How do CSOs perceive the EU role for African development?
