Abstract
Discusses electron micrographs and electron diffraction patterns obtained respectively before the intercalation of potassium and after the removal of all the metal by rapid immersion of the saturated fibre in water. The experiments were made on commercial `Thornel' fibres, grade WYD (Union Carbide).
